I shouldn't be using this blog to repost someone else's blog, right? After all, shouldn't I be coming up with witty and informative material? Naw, it's Spring and trade jumps of a steep cliff into the rocky surf below. Then I get moody until the rain stops and the sun comes out and mountain bikers, campers, anglers, hikers and boaty types start clamoring for ale. So I'm just going to pop a link up here to a video of MY BEER being consumed eight time zones away and then go back to washing casks.

That is a magnificently terrible video! It is so charmingly bad, with random, shaky shots of the beach and the roar of wind, that the result is quite winning. I bet it makes you wish you were there to drink it with them.
The other Hardknott videos are fun too. I've been told that there will be a case of Colonial Mayhem waiting for me when I (hopefully) get back there in November. I will also beg to be included in a beer video, like in the howling wind and rain on the top of Scawfell Pike with a pin of Vitesse Noir.
A friend and I are planning a trip to Oakridge (is pilgrimage too strong a word?) to visit your pub this summer or fall. Is there any time frame that is better than another?
I'm also curious as to what trout fishing may be around the area.
It's crazy here in the summer. I recommend September or October.
Re: Trout Fishing. There are five rivers that meet here. Fly fishing is quite popular. There are also numerous wilderness lakes.
And, yes, pilgrimage is a fine word.
